Tryouts for the 2011 Pirate Baseball Team begin this Monday, February 28th come rain/snow/sleet or hail.  Anyone who has been through "Selection Week" knows that we practice outside no matter what the weather has in store.  Everyone will begin the day with a one mile run which will have to be completed in eight minutes or less or the player will have to try again everyday until that mark is achieved.   Hopefully, everyone has been working out on their own and won't be too rusty on the first day.  Be sure to dress warmly and bring a change of clothes to go home in.  the weather forecast is looking cold and sloppy but we will have fun anyway.  Highline has to replace nine seniors from last years varsity.  Only six lettermen return for the 2011 campaign so there are several slots available on the "Big Club."

We will all look forward to hearing "RATS ON THREE" Monday afternoon.
