The Pirates opened their Seamount League campaign on Friday with a 12-0 "Mercy Rule" victory over Renton.  Ryan Ward and Jonny Rhodes combined for a five inning no-hitter as the offense cranked out thirteen basehits.  Jonny Locher led the way offensively going 3-for-4 with two doubles.  Logan Brickell, Desmond Drew, Erik Andersen and Thomas Farrell had two hits each.  Danny Teja added to the hit parade with a three RBI triple.  Highline's defense was errorless and turned two double-plays.

The coming week has the Pirates playing Lindbergh on Monday night at 7:00 PM on Moshier One.  Tuesday we have a make-up with Foster at 3:30, also on Moshier One and on Wednesday we travel to Hazen for a 3:30 contest.

Friday's win evens the regular season record at 1 and 1.  Hazen currently leads the league with a 2-0 record following their 4-2 win over Lindbergh on Friday.
