Posted Mar 22/11 - Rats Return to Win Column

Highline's bats were cranked up and Foster was plundered 17-1 in a Seamount League clash on Tuesday.  The Bulldogs jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.  Highline responded with a three spot in their half but left the bases loaded when the inning was over.  Highline starter Nick Mead retired Foster in order in the second propelling the home team to a six run rally in their half while sending 12 Pirates to the plate. Highline tallied six more in the third and two in the fourth to close out the scoring.  Nick was credited with the win on the hill.  Locher and Wydick both pitched scoreless innings in relief.  Locher and Logan Brickell had three hits each and Caleb Ramirez hit the first Highline homerun of the season going deep with a two run shot in the second.

Highline's takes their game on the road on Wednesday with a key, early season showdown against Hazen.  The Highlander's are undefeated in league play and a Pirate victory will even the standings.  Directions to Hazen can be found by clicking on the "Fields' tab of this website.
