Despite hammering Hazen's ace pitcher for eleven hits, Highline fell to the Highlander's 9-5 on Wednesday. The loss drops the Pirates two games behind in the standings through four games. Hazen jumped out to a three nothing lead after two innings. The Pirates got on the board when Jonny Locher scored on a Jeff Kemp single. Higline added three more in the fourth to take a 4-3 lead. Danny Teja had a two RBI double scoring Caleb Ramirez and Logan Brickell who had singled. Eric Anderson singled to right scoring Danny for the final run of the inning. Hazen responded with two runs in their half to retake the lead. They added four more in the sixth to cushion their advantage. Highline mounted a mini-rally in the top of the seventh when Locher came home on a Jacob Wydick single but that was all th Pirates could muster for the day. Logan went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Highline.
