Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau Scout Art Gardner of Walnut Grove, Mississippi, was on hand for the opening day of the Mississippi Select Baseball Fall League.  Myrtle High School's Jimel Judon, a nationally-ranked 2010 graduating player, has drawn interest, but Mr. Gardner was also able to see other top area players such as Senatobia's Jeremy Carlisle, Lafayette's Denzel Goolsby and many others in action Saturday.

Carlisle and Goolsby are both members of the Northwest Mississippi Dealers team.  After the first two games of the season, both players are leading the Dealers team in batting average.  Carlisle leads the league in doubles with 2 and is tied for first with Judon in runs scored (3).
