| In arguably, their best game of the season, Highline coasted to a 8-0 win over Decatur on Friday afternoon. Three Pirate pitchers limited the Gators to just four basehits and one walk. Nick Mead started and went four innings to pick up the win. Ryan Ward threw two innings of relief with just fifteen pitches and Caleb Ramirez closed it out in the seventh on just ten pitches. The offense was led by Jonny Locher who was 2-for-2 with a homer and a double. The victory places Highline in one more "Loser Out" game today at Auburn Mountainview against Bonney Lake. Game time is 4:00 PM. A win moves the Pirates into the WCD Tournament bracket and a Tuesday matchup at Heidelberg Field in Tacoma against the Number 3 Narrows League team. |
