Three Rockets Take All 8th Region Honors
Kam Bruner Kipp Moore Eric Schreiner
SHELBYVILLE - Rockets Kipp Moore, Eric Schreiner, and Kam Bruner were named to the All-8th Region team for the 2011 baseball season.
Moore, a freshman, hit .383, collected 28 stolen bases, drove in 19 RBI, and led the team in runs scored for the Rockets this season. Moore also sported a 4-2 record on the mound, with a 3.26 ERA.
Eric Schreiner, a junior, hit .308, swiped 14 stolen bases and drove in 19 for the Rockets. He appeared in all 30 games for Shelby Co., and tied for team leader for extra base hits.
Sophomore Kam Bruner slugged out a .337 average, tied for team lead in extra base hits and home runs, and led the Rockets in RBI with 30. He also had 11 appearances on the mound for Shelby Co.
Shelby Co. returns all but 3 seniors for the 2012 season. |
