The Ridge Meadows Royals lost 2 of 3 games against both the Cowichan Mustangs and North Delta Astros and find themselves now in a 1 game showdown to end the regular season in 3rd place.  The Royals won the first game vs. Cowichan by a score of 15-0 then lost game two in Duncan by a 5-3 score.  Royals knocked the ball around in the first game to register the win but then lost a close one in game two amidst one of the stranger strike zones seen in recent time.  The Mustangs deserve full marks for their win as they made some exceptional plays in the field that kept the Royals from breaking it open.

On Tuesday the Royals faced a hungry North Delta team that was looking to avoid the Wild Card Tournament and lost 2-1.  Royals faced the Astros top pitcher and he did not dissapoint again.  The Royals offence didn't register a run until the 7th inning which has been very rare this season.  Bailey threw well on the mound but was tagged with the loss as his counterpart was only slightly better.
