Three members of the Ridge Meadows Royals were asked to join Team BC in Winnipeg, MB for the Western Canadian Championships.  Royals players Matt Jonsen and Andre Pelletier will be joining BC runner's up Vancouver Mounties for the Western Canada Baseball Championships from August 18-21.  Royals pitcher Graham Bailey was also asked to join Team BC but unfortunately was not able to attend because of personal committments.  The Royals coaching staff would like to offer the best of luck to Team BC in Winnipeg, especially to its players joining the team, to bring the Gold Medal back to British Columbia.

On a side note, when Team BC faces off against Team Alberta there will be some familiar faces across the diamond for Jonsen and Pelletier as the Alberta Champions happen to be the Sherwood Park Athletics Gold team whom the Royals defeated twice in their Alberta tournament held in June.  Good luck Team BC!!
