Walks haunt Thunder in loss to Port

After an eight day layoff, the Thunder came out a little flat and found themselves playing catch up all night. They fell behind 3-0 in the 1^st and never could come all the way back. Bases on balls turned out to be the difference as the Thunder pitchers walked 12 on the night and many of those came around to score. They tried to rally in the 7^th trailing 10-6, they scored 2 and had the tying runs on base but a line drive double play squashed the rally as Port went on to win 10-8.

At the plate Matt Geldnich, Cooper Schlosser, Mason Kirk, TJ Simpson, Jordan Schommer, Sam Geldnich, and Daniel Jones all had a hit while Juan Gurrola was 3-3 with a deep double to right center. The team will get back at it next week with three games. Monday and Wednesday they are at Sussex taking on Sussex White and Red, with both games starting at 6pm. They finish up the week Friday at home vs. Germantown Jaguars with first pitch at 7:45. Hopefully they will get back on the winning track.
