The Auburn Wildcats have switched tonights(Friday, June 29th) game, against Top Speed Baseball, to a Doubleheader starting at 5:00 at James Field. Tomorrows Game will be a single game also staring at 5:00. The Wildcats will wrap up their 6 game, 4 day homestand with a Noon doubleheader Sunday against the California Glory.
The Wildcats beat Nevada last night 11-2 to complete the season series sweep of the Bighorns. Michael Durham hit his 4th home run of the season, while Rookie Shane Martin pitched 6 strong innings leading the Wildcats to victory for the 15th time in the last 16 games. The South Division leading Wildcats bring their 16-6 record (10-3 League) to face the North Division leading Top Speed (14-13, 9-2). Top Speed features, Samuel Trecaso and Tyler Begun college teammates of Wildcat Standouts Joey Havrilak and Darius Washington, at the University of Akron. Begun was slated to be a Wildcat, but requested to join the Top Speed Program and was traded from the Wildcats for Canisius College's Manny Hernandez before the season started.
