I just visited the field at JFP#3 and it held up pretty good after last night’s storm. The infield has some misshapen areas after sudden little streams popped up, but for practice purposes it looks good.

I’d recommend we proceed with a full, regular practice even though its currently 31 degrees and likely to climb a wee bit higher. If it gets too hot or unreasonable, we can call it early. I think allowing the kids to play in shorts tonight, as one of you recommended, is a good idea as the polyester pants are like sausage wrappers and will not help the kids stay cool.

After we start with conditioning and grounders/pops, I’d like to focus in on batting practice to ensure we are ready for fast pitchers this Saturday. So, if Chad can throw a bit of BP to each batter that’d be great.

Stay tuned to the website around 400-430PM just in case the weather turns. Hopefully I’ll see you all tonight.
