FAIRMONT — Fairmont moved to 14-1 in the First Nite League with a win over Heron Lake Wednesday in amateur baseball action.

Taylor Nawrocki got the win on the mound, striking out nine and walking none for Fairmont. Aaron Siefken hit a solo homer, Tanner Nawrocki was 2-for-3 with a two-run single and Ian Bents was 2-for-3 with a double to lead Fairmont at the plate.

Ike Rogers had a stole base and a run, while Kirk McBreen, Alex Meyer, Tom Albrecht, Long Eichenberger and Chad Knutson each had hits for Heron Lake (11-10, 10-7). Albrecht picked up the loss on the mound for the Lakers.

Heron Lake will travel to Mountain Lake Sunday.
