In the first ever 2010 Lake Area Wiffleball players draft the Sidewinders will get the 1st round pick. After finishing the season last year with a record of 1-29 they tied the Lookouts worst record in 2008 for the worst of all time. Not to mention they scored the least runs by a team in history by only scoring 27 runs and gave up a whopping 178 runs. Those numbers make that 2009 team the worst ever.

But this year looks different and just like the Thunder their future is looking bright. Adam Dischert was signed by the club in the offseason as we all know. He had a dominant year up the playoffs. But because he did set carerr highs in everything last year maybe he had found himself as an elite player. Jake Dickerson said "Adam will help out because I didnt really have anyone last year who was good." Of course Dischert will help. He has speed and good bat and a great ability to field. He won his second straight gold glove last year and is looking for the 3rd. For the Sidewinders Adam Dischert is the Guiseppe Ferrera for the Lookouts who helped them turn a franchise around.

Now that they have the 1st pick locked up they can now breathe alittle easier. Jake said that they will draft the best pitcher in the draft. This was a very smart statement from him because they will struggle without one. Jake Dickerson is not the ace and neither is Dischert. Who ever the pitcher is we are sure that they will be better than them. With that said the Sidewinders could be very surprising in 2010 because they will have good pitching, some good fielding with Dischert and their hitting will improve this year helping them score more than 27 runs. Watch out american league the Sidewinders are coming and they shouldnt be taken lightly!
