Highline broke into the win column on Monday with a 6-2 victory over Kennedy. Senior, Ryan Lingle went 6 innings to pick up the win on the hump holding the Lancers to 5 basehits and just one base-on-balls. Ryan Brett continued his torrid start going 4-for-4 with a solo homerun and two doubles and also pitched a scoreless 7th inning to preserve the "W." Jonny Locher and Caleb Ramirez contributed two base knocks each as the Pirates had ten hits overall. Kennedy threatened in the bottom of the seventh putting two runners on base with one out before a strike out and pop-up ended the contest. Highline now prepares for the home opener against Renton on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM at Moshier Field.
