Posted Apr 26/10 - HIGHLINE 17 FOSTER 4
A two out, ten run first inning rally put the Pirate victory to bed early on Monday afternoon as Highline cruised to victory over Foster.  Ryan Brett led off with a double and scored on Ryan Lingle's sacrifice fly. Three walks followed by a 2 RBI single from Lee Carson made it 3-0.  Junior, Jeff Kemp then crushed a three homer to left.  Three more hits set the stage for Jonny Locher who cranked another three run dong.  Highline came up with two more hits, making it seven in a row before the inning was over.  Nick Mead got the start and threw 2 2/3 innings before giving way to Derick Lewis who slammed the door the rest of the way sending the rain soaked crowd home early via the ten run "Mercy Rule."   The win improves Highlines record to 12-2 overall and 10-2 in league.  Comcast sent their crew to televise the game for their "Pay per View" station.  The entire game will be available on Comcast's "Local Sports" channel in two to three days.  Highline faces Kennedy tomorrow afternoon at Moshier in a Seamount League showdown.  Game time is 3:30 PM.
