It wasn't pretty but it was a solid, full team performance that vanquished Renton 12-1 on Thursday afternoon. The Pirates opened the scoring with a three run first inning on base knocks from Ryan Brett and Derick Lewis. Highline added two more in the third to give Pirate starter, Caleb Ramirez a 5-0 lead. Jeremy Rowden came on in relief in the fourth and was the recipient of three more Highline runs. Jeremy was solid the rest of the way surrendering just one unearned run and Highline walked off with a 12-1 "Mercy Rule" victory after 6 innings. Brett finished the night 3-for-4. Derick had two basehits and Lee Carson was 2-for-4. Highline returns to action tomorrow night at 7:00 PM hosting Tyee at Moshier Field. The make-up with Kennedy is scheduled for Tuesday, 3:30 PM also at Moshier.
