Posted May 1/10 - HIGHINE 29 TYEE 0

The Pirates went quietly in the first inning without so much as a baserunner.  The bottom of the second was a different story as Highine sent 24 batters to the plate and scored 22 runs.  The win capped a productive 4-0 week for the Pirates as they outscored their opponents 68-14.  The competition will definitely be a lot tougher this coming week with a game at Hazen on Monday and a make-up game at home with Kennedy on Tuesday at 3:30.  Highline can clinch second place in the league with a victory in either one of those games.

The Sub-district tournament begins on Friday for the Seamount third and fourth place finishers at Russell Road in Kent.  The second place team will play Saturday, 400 PM at Auburn Mountainview.  The District tournament begins for everyone on Tuesday at various locations in Western Washington.  The bracket is now available at the West Central District Website  www.wcd3.org
