Woodland 12, R.A. Long 3: The Beavers smashed 10 hits as they coasted to a nonleague victory Thursday at the Lumberyard.

Hunter Huddleston slapped two doubles with three RBIs to lead the Beavs (2-0 in league, 3-0). Austin Holcomb added two doubles, two RBIs and three runs, Aaron Shoup had two hits and scored twice, and Tanner Huddleston knocked in two runs.

Colton Lucas pitched into the fifth inning, allowing three hits and striking out four. Aaron Shoup went the final 2 2/3 innings, allowing one hit and striking out two.

RAL (0-1) got hits from Tanner Ruffe, Morgan Baker and Spencer Thorsen.

Ruffe started and went three innings, allowing three hits and whiffing three.
