A complete-game from Jose Hinojosa helped the Jacks avenge a pair of earlier defeats and hand the Hawks their first loss of the GSHL 2A season Monday at the Lumberyard.

“We were biting at the bit to get back at these guys,” RAL coach Mark Hulings said. “... That’ll hopefully be a springboard into district play next week.”

Hinojosa scattered four hits and struck out five, allowing just a single earned run.

At the plate, Tanner Ruffe had a two RBI double in RAL’s two-run first and an RBI single in the four-run fifth.

The Jacks (7-5 in league, 11-7) hosts Castle Rock to close out their regular season Wednesday.
