Cori Cooper throws perfect game as the Magnolia Bulldogs defeat Stratford 2-0

Tuesday was a day Cori Cooper will remember forever as Cooper pitched the perfect game in the Magnolia Bulldogs Varsity's 2-0 victory over Stratford. No Stratford batter was able to locate Cooper's pitches during the game.  Cooper threw a no-hitter, striking out 17 batters and walking none while recording her momentous feat.She got Koractic to fly out to centerfielder Jenna Gleason for the final out of the game. The bulldogs scored in the first inning as Madison Moynahan got hit by a pitch and then stole second. Codi Carpenter drove a line drive to the left field fence to score Moynahan. In the seventh inning, Taylar Fuselier reached first base by an error on the Spartan's second baseman. Ashley Poinbeouf was able to find a hole in the Stratford defense, moving Fuselier to second. Designated player Madi Davis hit a shot up the middle of the field driving in Fuselier. The Lady  Bulldogs are now 9-3 on the seaon and 1-0 in district play.
