As the sun came out to provide a beutiful evening for baseball, the Cardinals faithful packed the stands at Cloverdale BallPark on friday evening. Their favorite came to play and they demolished the Rays for a 15-3 victory as they assured themselves of a spot in next week's semi-finals.

Inspired by the presence of Kaiden "The Hammer" McCreedy in their dugout, the Cardinals Offense exploded. They were led by Alexa "red Rocket" Robichaud, Michael "Big Pappy" Hampton, and Liam "Lava Master" Vulcano with 3 hits apiece, the Cardinals jumped to an early 12-1 lead. Tannerrific Carmont continued to crush the ball with 2 hits just like his fellow Bash Bros. Thomas the Closer Chattaway. Dylan Sheardown, Kyle "Bobblehead" Cork, each contributed a hit while Cameron " Big Mac" Macmillan put away his Hawaiian grass kilt and rejoined the team in time to produce two RBI's. Minor Leaguer call up, Braeden Kanai, showed great potential in his debut and look poised for a brillant career.

After a 5 day lay-off, the Cards pitching staff returned to the mound totally refreshed and dominated the Rays. They showed no mercy as they allowed only one earned run and struck out 13 batters. Carmont inspired his team as he hobled to the mound and pitched a scoreless first inning. The "Lava Master" Vulcano followed him with two scoreless inning as the team was building an insurmontable lead. "Mowem' Down" Sheardown continue his mound mastery as he allowed no earned run and dismissed the rays with 9 pitches. "The Closer" Chattaway seal the victory with 6 K's in two innings of work.

The defense was solid once again as Robichaud-MacMillam, Sheardown-Carmont, Faul-Chattaway, combined for some defensive gems. With the win, the Cards secured a spot in next week's semi-finals. The Cardinals face the Mariners on sunday  as they try to remain undefeated in these playoffs.
