| Hello everyone, Hope the summer is going well for everyone. It is going by fast and we will be back to school before you know it. Coach May and I are really looking forward to the upcoming season. If you did not get an email from me about this information, please send me your email address to colinharvey@katyisd.org so I can get you on our email distribution list. Tomorrow, July 20, will be our last open practice. Coach May and I will be unavailable next week. The next week will be after August 1, at which everyone will need to have a current physical in the trainers’ office to work out. I do want to encourage everyone to continue to hit as much as you can. Tryouts begin Monday, August 9, and is mandatory for all 10-12 graders and any freshmen wanting to try-out for varsity. Freshmen are encouraged to come to try-outs if you can make it. Before you can try-out, I must have the following items, in addition to the KISD athletic packet that you will turn into the CRHS trainers’ office. The athletic packet can be found on the KISD website at www.katyisd.org. Go to Departments/Athletics/Parent and Student Information/Required Forms/Required Athletic Participation Forms 2010-11. 1. Anyone new to CRHS tennis must turn in a copy of your birth certificate. 2. Everyone must turn in a completed Bona Fide Residence form which can be found on the district website at www.katyisd.org. Go to Departments/Athletics/Parent and Student Information/Forms/Bona Fide Residence UIL Participation 3. Everyone must turn in a copy of a current utility bill. Each day of the tryouts will be split into two time periods: 8:30-11:30 and 1:00-4:00. The boys will be in the afternoon on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. They will be in the morning on Wednesday. At this time, coach May and I will be at a meeting on Friday morning. I will get any adjustments to you as soon as I know what we will do. The girls will be in the morning on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. They will be in the afternoon on Wednesday and Friday. Please make sure you have all these items before you show up for tryouts. Remember, we will have a parents’ meeting Tuesday, August 10, at 6:30 in the CRHS main commons. Again, Coach May and I are really looking forward to the upcoming school year and tennis season.
