Baseball Rockets Excel in the Classroom

New team.  Same expectations. 

While this young group of Rockets are unproven on the baseball diamond, they are certainly getting it done in the classroom.  With such an inexperienced team, fourth year coach Bart Roettger hasn’t changed what he expects from the program:

-          Win on the field

-          More importantly, win in the classroom

The Rocket program has much to boast about in the category of academics after the first grading period.  A team GPA of 3.34 unweighted, with 5 Rockets achieving a 4.0. 

Rocket baseball is fortunate to be accustomed to academic success.  The program has achieved an overall 3.2 cumulative GPA over the last three years, while reaching the regional playoff each year, finishing regional runner-up in 2009, and winning the 8^th Region in 2010.
