Good morning baseball fans, it’s a beautiful day in Portland. Rocket
homestand concluded wed. evening in Portland
with a resounding9- 4 victory over the ft. wayne panthers. As has been the modus operendi the home team
went up early 7-0 after 5 inn and cruised to its 5 th straight win. Rockets now 7-2 on the young season.\
Beautiful nite with another fine crowd on hand, the local
faithful saw rhp dan bollenbacher pitch no hit, well perfect game baseball for
4 inn, second outing in a row
In the 5th the st. francis group got 3 runners on
but dan struck out the last guy making it
12 ks in 5 inn.
Rocket fireworks once more in the 4th, leadoff
man Dalton tinsley clubbed a rocket shot into the hedges in right, his second
in as many games, that lazer left the
yard on a line in a hurray, 2 run
dinger Dalton. Atta boy
Rockets also had 2 hits and 3 rbi from marion native jagen millspaugh
Kevin sharpe from indy also had 2 rbi.\
Important to note, the rockets had 20 players in attendance,
19 played, this group is beginning to develop into a nice ballclub.

mound duties in all the rocket pitchers
struck out 20 batters, thobe had 6 and gave up
6 hits.
The rockets would like again to publicly thank the Portland parks dept and
franklin electric for the new lights, and also to our neighbors for mowing the
field adjacent the park.
And every outing someone compliments our new staircase,
Samantha Thomas skywalk to the press box, thanks ted ferguson for a masterful job, you too are masterful Samantha as the voice
of the rockets.
Thanks nick and Helen miller for your generous donation to
help buy more baseballs, we appreciate it
