It's official, Congratulations to Jacob Smiley for signing to play baseball with Western Kentucky. 

Former Kentucky South Warren High School and Slammers Elite pitcher/first baseman/OF Jacob Smiley has committed to the Western Kentucky baseball team next season, according to his father, John Smiley.

Smiley, a left-hander, went 6-3 on the mound with the Spartans in 2014, helping them reach the second round of the state tournament. Going into the team’s final game, he had 48 strikeouts in 52 innings with an ERA of better than 2.25. Smiley also hit two home runs and drove in 19 runs for South Warren.

He’ll join WKU for workouts next week, John Smiley said.
