2003: In 2003, Jared primarily played 1st base and pitched for the J.V. team. He did have one Varsity start on the mound for the Chargers against Dyer County and made another relief appearance against Father Ryan in the USA Classic.
2004: Played in 26 games for the Chargers. He had an unbelievable year on the mound making 14 appearances and posting a perfect 7-0 mark with one save. During the State Tournament, Jared showed a lot of heart by pitching in three games out of six the Chargers played. His only start was an impressive two hit win vs. David Lipscomb in the semi-finals of bracket play. Jared was a 1st Team All District selection.
2005: Appeared in 29 games as a pitcher and 1st base. Again, he had another solid year on the mound posting a 2.52 ERA. Jared also did a good job at 1st base playing a utility role. He was a 1st Team District performer.
2006 Expectation: Jared will be counted on heavily to again be a solid performer on the mound. He will also get a look at one of the three vacant outfield positions. He has the potential to be an offensive threat for the Chargers in 2006.
