At 5'10" and 145, Austin has that rangy look that coaches like in their baseball pitchers, but his main position for the past 7 years has been catcher. He calls a superb game and has the gun to stop base stealers cold. His talent also allows him to play anywhere on defense, and we will use him as an infielder, too. A solid hitter from both sides of the plate, Austin will be an important offensive player as well. Austin is an excellent basketball player, and plans to turn out at Mark Morris next year, after a stellar career at Monticello Middle School.
