Matthew Thiessen

PROFILE

Matthew has lived in Altona for three years and particularly enjoys the opportunity to play sports in town. He has recently completed a solid season of goaltending for the Atom Maroon hockey team and his team won the silver medal in their division. Matthew is in grade four and serves as class rep on the student council. He also takes piano lessons. In his spare time, Matthew likes to play Wii, draw, and watch sports on TV. He follows the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Toronto Blue Jays. His favorite season is winter, and he loves snowmobiling and playing in the snow! However, Matthew is still excited about starting his first season of league baseball, and his goal is to hit five home runs this year. He also hopes to try out pitching, backcatching, and playing short stop.
