PROFILE

Being the new treasurer of the Jerks guarantees several years of red ink and financial uncertainty for the team. For the past year or so Darren has been running Texas Hold’em tournaments at Downtown Eastside shelters on the first Wednesday of each month, fleecing down-on-their-luck hobos of their welfare cheques. Lately Darren has also busied himself by organizing and promoting “Box vs. Cube II: Uno Mas” and says that after he breaks the Cube for a second time he plans to challenge the entire LMBA executive to a handicap steel cage match with $1000 of lost sponsorship money on the line. With all his successes, Heavy D’s Paramount achievement is still in his pants.
