Lennox Looks to Win 4th Straight; Play Host to Parkston Tonight
The Lennox Orioles started a little rough this year, but after the first three games, Lennox has been 6-1. Lennox has won six of their last seven and they are currently on a three game win streak involving win over Elk Point Jefferson, West Central and Platte- Geddes. The average margin of victory for those three games were twenty-three points, meaning that all three games were quite dominations for the Orioles. However, the Orioles will play a good team from Parkston who come into town at 8-4. So let’s look at the game tonight from a different standpoint.
Last year Lennox won 42-37 in a very good and defensive game in which the Orioles were able to come a top of. McEntee and Hinker both scored eleven points as they were the leading scorers. After that, Lennox’s third highest scorer was Nathan Timmerman who as most of you know, graduated this past season. The good news is that Lennox’s two leading scorers from last year’s game are back for their senior year.
Parkston rolls in after playing twelve games and they are averaging 56.75 points per game. Comparing this to Lennox who has averaged 59 points per game this season. Both teams are known as teams with good players as they both score above the national average for high school level. The Orioles defense however has been their strong suit holding teams under 20 and under 40 all season long.
With the Orioles playing great defense and good offense and a good Parkston team coming to town, I don’t know how you could want to miss this game. JV starts at 6:10 with the Varsity starting at 7:30. So come on over to the Nest tonight and watch a really good game.
Have a good day and GOOOOOOOO Orioles
