Magnified Losses

Magnified Losses

When a baseball club loses back to back games in late March or April, the losses do not go as noticed, do not move the radar as much.  When a ball club loses back to back games to open a season, it is, as the headline of this news item says, magnified.  After a clean, positive performance vs. the South Greene Rebels, we were not as clean, there were not as many positives at the Johnson County Longhorns.  For those who have followed our baseball program since the start of the 2018 season, without question our most humbling defeats have come at the hands of the Longhorns from Mountain City.

Today, Friday, March 15 we travel to Washburn, TN to compete against the Washburn Pirates in a two 5 inning game doubleheader.  Baseball is a day in and day out sport, so our student-athletes and coaching staff have to quickly regroup and get ready to compete.  We hope to return to Hampton with a couple of wins and some positive vibes as we prepare to move into conference play.
