17-8

17-8

In the history books a win is a win and a loss is a loss.  All games have different narratives, however.  Some games are lost, but the losing team plays really well.  Some games are lost when the losing team goes toe to toe with a team that is far superior on paper.  Some games are won when the winning team does not play very well.  Some games are won when the winning team underachieves a little bit, even if just for that game.

Baseball seasons are a grind.  Teams play three to even six games per week for two months!  Pitchers are different everyday, which, at most high schools, means the fielders at various positions are different everyday.  It's like musical chairs.

In saying all of that, it is hard to win in the game of baseball.  There is a lot that goes into the multitude of games.  In saying that, we are humbled and appreciative to be 17-8 after 25 games.  We understand the fine line between winning and losing.

If you look at our stats page, you will see individual players who are beginning to rack up big stolen base numbers, RBI numbers, and many runs scored.  If you look at the career numbers of some of our more experienced players, you will notice big career numbers that are being put up.  We are proud of our young men.
