Game 13 Report (Jan 16, 2016)

Hello Dragons.

Our 2^nd game of 2016, and 12 players available again.

First Half:

We started out strong, earning a corner kick 2 minutes in.   Off the kick, we would lose the ball, and the Dunbar Boys got their first corner at 3 minutes in!  Jamieson got our first shot at 10 minutes, followed by Nick at 11 minutes.  It seemed our boys were prepared for the game and determined to make a statement. At 16 minutes Matt C would take our next corner and in the ensuing chaos, Ryoh would back heel the ball into the net.  We scored 1^st! For the next 28 minutes the game would be played back and forth, with several chances showing up for our lads. But the Dunbar Boys would tie the game at 44 minutes after a minor breakdown of coverage.

Second Half:

In the 2^nd half we came back strong, unfortunately fouls were being called all over the field. At 59 minutes the ref awarded a Penalty Shot on a foul by Andrew in the box (weak call by any standard). Luke was huge and made the save…unfortunately our team didn’t react to the save and the Dunbar Boys put away the rebound. We would get a number of more chances, but the Dunbar Boys added to their lead at 86 minutes.  A missed penalty in their box cost us a penalty shot of our own, and Jamieson would get another goal at 92 minutes to make it close.

All in, we had 17 shots with 7 on net, while the Dunbar Boys had 10 on net.
