Welcome to the online home of the Durham Dark Horses
Founded by Vaughn Chance in 2015, the Durham Dark Horses Football Team operate as a non-profit organization that competes at the semi-professional/minor league level. In 2018, we will be members of the newly founded Coastal Football Alliance, the largest and most competitive spring minor league in the country. As a spring league team, we will play our season from March to June. We start preparing for the upcoming season with workouts, organized team activities, and practices in September. Our community activity however, is year-round. We commit to doing many community events such as fundraisers for our organization and others that benefit charitable causes, events that engage and constructively occupy youth, and enrich the overall well being of the Greater Triangle Region of our great state.
The Durham Dark Horses emphasize professional in semi-professional. We will provide a well-groomed and organized team that will represent the best that the Triangle area has to offer with pride, integrity, and respect. Both on and off the field, as only Dark Horses do, we will BEAT THE ODDS!
