Coach Don Lorett  Associate Scout Kansas City Royals
Don is a 1983 graduate of Judson Baptist College in Portland Oregon, with a BA in Education. While at Judson he started on both the Basketball and the Baseball teams. After moving back to Farmington in 1984 he became the JV Baseball coach at Farmington High School.  He coached JV Baseball for 5 years and worked as the Varsity Assistant for 7 years before taking the Head coaching position in 1997. As of 2008 he has coached 10 State championship teams and has over 23 district titles.  He has been honored with the National Assistant Coach of the year for District 7 (Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Montana) in 1993, and has been honored as the District 7 National Coach of the Year in 2003. Don has been the New Mexico Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2002.  He has also worked for the Astros, Devil Rays, and Atlanta Braves.  In 2003 he received his Masters degree in Education Administration. strikezone@strikezonenm.org
