West Kootenay Diamondbacks are heading to the Washington State Junior 'A' Championships after winning the Spokane American Legion Junior 'A' North Division on Saturday. Jordan Roblin threw a No-Hitter in Game 1 vs. Mt. Spokane, and then the bats rallied for an 8 run seventh inning comeback in Game 2 to take the title. Read More...

The West Kootenay Diamondbacks beat Mead #1 Panthers in a do-or-die Game 3 match up to advance to the North Division Championship series vs. Mt. Spokane Wildcats. Dallas Calvin threw a complete game No-Hitter along with 9 strikeouts and the offense did the rest putting up 5 runs in the first inning and 11 in total. Read More...

The West Kootenay Diamondbacks started the 2009 playoffs with a huge 10-0 win over the visiting Mead #1 Panthers. Jordan Roblin pitched a complete game 4 hit shutout and Dallas Calvin hit the first pitch he saw in the bottom of the first over the right center field wall to give the Diamondbacks a 2-0 lead that proved to be all they needed. Tanner Rotschy went 4 for 4 at the plate including a double and scored 4 times. The defense helped Roblin's cause by making several highlight reel plays to preserve the shutout. Game 2 is scheduled for Thursday night in Spokane. Read More...
