VERMILLION - The Outlaws varsity team swept a doubleheader today by scores of 8-0 in game 1 and 6-1 in game 2.  Game 1 highlights consisted of starting pitcher, Kaleb Kopfmann, pitching 6 strong innings giving up just 2 hits, no runs, 3 walks with 11 K's.  At the plate, the Outlaws were led by Trevor Doyle (2-2 with two doubles and 4 RBI's) and Zach London (2-2)

WAGNER - After a disappointing loss to the Parkston Trojans on Thursday, the Outlaws quickly got back on the winning track by defeating Wagner/Avon, 10-2.  The Outlaws collected 16 hits and played solid defense behind starting pitcher, Nate Zens, who picked up his first win of the season on the mound.  Helping his own cause at the plate, Zens, was also one of the leading hitters for the Outlaws, going 2-4 with two doubles and two RBI's.

PARKSTON - Things just didn't go the Outlaws way Thursday, April 8 versus Division rival, the Parkston Trojans, as 3 crucial errors were made and only 5 scattered hits were managed.  Of the two, the 3 errors proved most costly, as 3 unearned runs were plated on those errors.  The scored ended at 5-3 in favor of the Trojans.

Former Outlaw Ace, Tyson Gau, picked up his second win (2-0) on the mound for NCAA DII Augustana College.  Gau, a true freshman, earned his first win on the mound pitching against NCAA DII opponent Concordia University out of St. Paul, MN.  He had a no hitter that was broke up in the 5th inning.  He went on to pitch a complete game 2 hitter.  For Gau's complete game stats, click the link below for the box score of the game.

Posted Dec 12/09 - New Look for the 2010 Season

The team has released Stickney from their high school baseball co-op that consist of Mt. Vernon, Hanson and Ethan, so that they could form a new co-op team with Corsica, whom they have co-oped with for all sports. In replacement, two new schools have joined the co-op for the 2010 season. They are Woonsocket and Springs. The offical new co-op name will be SMVHEW (Springs-Mt. Vernon-Hanson-Ethan-Woonsocket).
