Rockets return to celina’s jim hoess field Sunday for a 9-inning wood bat contest with

To win, same results as sat, we lost, we didn’t score  grand lake 1 portland 0 in 2 hr 19 min.

A gem pitched by rocket lefthander craig martin of marion went by  the wayside,  he went 6 innings (1^st rocket starter to do so) no runs, 2 hits, one walk and 2 Ks.  Grand lake touched reliever tyler Reynolds with an unearned run in the 7^th  as tyler struck out 3 in his 2 inn. Work giving up just 1 hit. In that 7^th ,grand lake 3^rd baseman corey klenke, of coldwater,  a rocket someday I hope, singled, sac bunt to 2^nd, stole third? The ump said, then scored on a throwing error from third.   Each team had 3 hits, we had 8 baserunners to their 7. 4 runners in scoring position but they never dented the plate.

Brad smith, brad kindred, and geoff bowers each had a hit.

The rockets loaded the bases with 1 out in the 4^th, but after fouling off a squeeze attempt, tom mccowan grounded to pitcher for a rally ending DP

Rockets had the tying run at second in 9^th but a strikeout ended that threat.
