Good morning baseball fans, it’s a beautiful day in Portland.  On a lovely summer tues nite

The Portland rockets participated in the great lakes conference.  Host lima locos were

Not very accommodating.  At lima simmons ballpark, rockets shut out by lima 10-0.

Wood bat baseball is very humbling-one must do the toughest of all geometry assignments-

Take a round bat and a round ball and hit it square.  Rockets did so sparingly, we had 5 hits to

There 10 .  and in 4 different innings portland had 2 or more runners on base, but no timely hits ,

And glaringly 13 strikeouts.

Hits by logan hug, geoff bowers, cody krumlauf, kyle markle, and conner milligan.

Already 5 games into the season and the injury bug has hit.  Mitch waters collided with ss dillion bell and may have a broken left index finger. Yes tough day at the office, first inning a backswing Caught the home plate umpire in the head, he went home concussed.  I like that word concussed

Considering how many times I bit my tough last nite. 

As coach doug tinsley commented, “haven’t been in many of these games” , “not very representative.

Also a banged up catcher krumlauf, a spiked hug, a geeslin dislocated shoulder, reminds me I have to stock up this years med kit.

Well at least we got all 15 players in the game.

Portland gave up 2 runs in the 2^nd , 3 in the 3^rd , 3 in the 6^th and 2 in the 7^th.  Justin miller from Yorktown took the loss. Alex delk, cowan, conner milligan kokomo, and evan van Gordon finished up.

When it rains it pours, and maybe it will today,  but rocket pitchers were out of orbit.  These space cadets walked 9 and hit 3.  5 errors did not help.

Portland wins 2 Sunday then trounced tues.

That’s baseball, and the great thing is , we play tonite.
