Good morning baseball fans, it’s a beautiful day in Portland. Portland
rockets
Double dipped the ft. wayne
expos Sunday at Carrington field, winning 12- 2 and 6-4
Rockets got off the bus gus batting around the order scoring
5 times in the 1st inn. In the 1st game, batting around
the order scoring 4 times in the 1st in the next game,
Rockets cruise to the 12-2 mercy rule in 5 inn. With 16 hits
in game one,
Dalton
tinsley ,and chris miller led the rocket attach with 5 hits in the
doubleheader,
Mitch waters had 4 hits, scoring 4 runs, , 4 hits also for
tj lindstrand, collin affolder and geoff bowers had 3.
The rockets and expos played last sun in the 4th
of july tournament and split 2 games.
This Sunday is all Portland
all day,
Dan bollenbacher continued his fine mound duties, going 4
inn with 5 Ks and just 1 run on 2 hits. 59 pitches . Wesley Hibbard made his mound debut, no runs
scored.

Game 2 rockets with and early 6-0 lead after 3 innings held on to win 6-4
Tyler Reynolds the winner, 81 pitches with 4 k in 4 plus
inn. 11 hits 3 runs,
Relief help by matt helm,,, with bases loaded he coaxed a
line shot to 3rd base and
Magic mitch was there to backhand the wicked line drive and
preserve the lead.

gave up 1 run in the 2.1 inn. Pitched.
The rocket sweep moves the rocket record to 17-10
Nice visit Sunday with former rocket and all time winning
pitcher for Portland matt ousley,,,matt lives in
ft wayne,
teaches and carroll h.s and still pitches for the jackers.
We had some days, and sure enjoyed his folks john and Karen
ousley.
Once again impressive to note all the rocket fans on hand
and of course a visit from
Don and marilyon maloy.
And emma and angi had a nice tent to vent off the summer
sun;
