GAME 1:Rockets win 5-3 in opener.  Winning pitcher Mitch Waters, with clutch relief help from Conner Milligan

and Austin Branock. Both recorded key Ks with bases loaded to preserve the win. also mound duty from Tyler Reynolds. breeze in the trees but not needed for long ball homers by Justin Marrero and Colin Affolder.  Both HR in the second inning in front of one of the biggest opening day crowds ever.  Rockets tallied 2 more in the 4th on a rbi double to the fence by Alex Delk plating Marrero,  then Jagen Millspaugh drove in Delk with a ground out.

TJ Lindstrand was hbp with bases loaded to bring in the final run in the 5th.

rockets had but 5 hits but rocket pitching limited the Taylor club to 4.  

Waters in his 10th season as a Rocket, went 4 inn. with 4 Ks 1 walk and 1 hit 53 pitches

Reynolds gave up 2 runs in 2/3 inn. with 2 hits 1 walk and 2 hbp

Milligan 1 inn. 3 w and a big K

Branock 1inn.1 hit 2 Ks

rockets also had hits by Bill Geeslin and Tom McCowan

Game 2:  Rockets jump to a 3-0 lead in 1st inn. but Bankers get 3 unearned in the 4th on 2 bad hop chances in the infield and a bloop that dropped in short right field

Dan Bollenbacher was throwing fast balls that could be literally heard in the dugout, he struck out 5 walked one 3 hits and was the tough luck loser on this game that was one we could have won

Justin Miller went 2 inn. 2Ks 2 w  3 hits 1 run

Carson Cruea from lafayette pitched the last frame 1 unearned run 1 hit1 K

rockets only had 4 hits, Dalton Tinsley a double, Brandon Reamon from dayton a double, singles Affolder and Kyle Selvey.
