Game 1: ALC-10, FWB-0
ALC exploded for 17 runs in the top of the third to win 19-0 in a contest called after four innings. Will Leonard led a 16 hit parade by going 3-3 including a home run and a double.
C.J. Lynn had 4 RBI’S
Todd Duff picked up the win as he pitched a one hitter and Gerald Branham tossed one scoreless inning in relief.
Game 2: ALC-7, FWB-2
Matt Hume went 2-3 with a home run, a double and 3 RBI’s. Lamar Williams added two hits.
Jeremy Hyden scattered 5 hits over 4 innings and picked up the win.
Saturday March 7.
ALC @ Freewill Baptist of Nashville
Game 1: ALC- 15, FWB-4
ALC belted 12 hits in a game called after five innings. Four Eagles had 2 hits apiece. Joseph Rasnake had 3 RBI’s
Will Ray allowed only two runs and earned the victory from the mound.
Game 2: ALC-14, FWB-1
ALC scored 14 runs on nine hits as C.J. Lynn, Matt Hume, and Justin Jacobs each had two hits and 2 RBI’s.
Lewis Michael tossed five innings of one hit ball to earn the win.
Sunday March 8.
ALC vs. New River
Game 1: ALC-12, NR-1
Will Leonard had a monster game to lead the way, as he went 4-4 and crushed two homeruns in-route to a 7 RBI performance. Justin Jacobs added three hits and Lamar Williams two.
Devon Denson tossed a three hitter to earn the win.
Game 2: ALC-10- NR-5
Matt Hume went 2-3 with a homerun and a double and Kenneth Todd belted a homerun to lead the way. Both Hume and Todd, in addition to Will Leonard, had 3RBI’s apiece. Lamar Williams swiped three bases.
Brian Boyes relieved Lance Newman and earned the win
The Eagles have little time to rest on their laurels as they return to the diamond Monday night for a contest with Lincoln Christian, Illinois at 6pm. This game will be played under the lights at the Knott County Sportsplex. The same two squads will then meet Tuesday at Eagle Field for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00.
