| Miami Gardens, FL- Miami Rain blows out Orlando Extreme 134-46 during yesterday's home contest. The Miami Rain team started out on a 20-0 run, and they have never look back. They outscored Orlando 26-2 in the first quarter and then dominated the entire game. Miami Rain played nothing but defense the entire night, holding the Orlando Extreme to 46 points. The 88 point margin of victory is the largest in WBCBL history. As a team, Miami Rain produced 30 assists and 31 steals. Leading the way for Miami Rain was Alysha Harvin. She scored 27 points including four 3-pointers. Harvin also had 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. Mellissa Dalembert recorded her first double-double of the season with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Kiesha Alexander, Cantina Graham, and rookies Christina Rozier and Sudanne Stewart all scored double figures. Kristin Green had 8 rebounds. Telisha Quarles and Charmaine Clark both had 5 assists, and Telisha Quarles made 7 steals. Miami Rain improves to 1-0 on the season while Orlando Extreme falls to 0-1. Miami Rain will be on the road next Saturday as they play the Florida Knighthawks in Jacksonville, Florida. |
