Victoria, a class �B� team, with savvy veterans took a 2 - 0 lead on two unearned runs. The Red Birds got a run in the top of the sixth when Jeff Pavlovich got a leadoff walk. Stole second and scored on a single to left field by John Gulden.
Andrew Roy got the start, allowed 3 runs, only one earned, on 4 hits through 6 full innings. Then the rains erupted and washed out the rest of the game.
This game was part of a three game event that the Vics hosted this weekend to raise money for Cancer Awareness.
Victoria visits Storm Red Bird Stadium on Saturday, July 7th for Chanhassen and Victoria City Employee recognition game. 7:30 first pitch. Rain started to fall in the bottom of the 7th and the game should have been called, but Victoria got two more hits and 1 run as the skies opened to end the game.
