Tomboyz win over the Rockers by 2 runs in our very first game, but it's certainly nothing to be ashamed of!

It was a close 7-5 game, and we consider ourselves victorious to come out on either side!

Alexis did a terrific job on the mound, striking out 3 batters in the first inning. She held her own throughout the rest of the game with a calm confidence, and showed herself as a force to be reckoned with! She's the youngest on the team, but she looks like an "old pro" on the mound. Great job, Alexis! We are EXTREMELY proud of you!

We faced a couple of obstacles during this game. First, we played without our cleanup batter, and backup pitcher- Emony. Second, we played without Brileigh- our starting pitcher. Even so, the rest of the team came together and played their hardest. We couldn't have known, at this time, during the first game of the day, that we were playing the very team that would go on to win the tournament. So a 2 run loss isn't a "bad" thing when it is against the team that took 1st place.

This was our first time on the field together as a team, so I wouldn't really call this a loss.

It was a HUGE success!
