The Outlaws have started the 2010 season on a high note. After dropping its non-region season opener, the Outlaws picked up two big region wins, running their overall record to 2-1 and 2-0 in Region 1B.
The Outlaws opened the season on Saturday, March 27 versus non-region opponent Winner/Colome with a 15-8 loss. With 2 region games coming up they did not pitch any of their frontline pitchers.
On Sunday, March 28 the Outlaws faced off against Division rival, the Parkston Trojans, and defeated them 9-7. The Outlaws, the home team on the scoreboard, took a 9-3 lead into the top of the 7th inning when Parkston hit a grand slam with 2 outs.
In their third game in 3 days, the Outlaws went up against another Division team, the Corsica/Stickney/Armour Express, a newly formed high school baseball team. The Outlaws shutout the new co-op team by a score of 5-0. This game was highlighted by Senior Kaleb Kopfmann who picked up his first win of the season by pitching a 5 inning no hitter. Junior Pierce Smith pitched the last 2 innings giving up no runs as well. Kopfmann and P. Smith combined for 12 strikeouts.

The Outlaws are in action next on Thursday, April 1 when they travel to Harrisburg to take on the Tigers. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 pm with a varsity only contest.
