CORSICA - Kaleb Kopfman pitched six innings and hit a two-run homer to help the Outlaws high school baseball team defeat Corsica/Stickney/Armour 5-2 Sunday.

Kopfmann allowed two runs — one earned — struck out eight and gave up four hits.

His two-run homer gave the Outlaws a 2-1 lead.

For the Outlaws, Zach London and Trevor Doyle each went 1-for-3 with an RBI. The Outlaws had six total hits.

For CSA, Steven Blom pitched 4.2 innings and gave up three earned runs, two walks and he struck out six. He was the losing pitcher.

Offensively for CSA, Luke Bamberg was 2-for-2 with an RBI.

With the victory, the Outlaws (15-4) claimed the #1 seed in the West 1B Division and will host #4 Wagner/Avon on Tuesday, May 18 at 7:00 pm.  The game is tentatively scheduled to played in Mitchell at Drake Field.  If arrangements cannot be made to use Drake Field, then the game will be played in Alexandria.
