Coors Light (10-5) sent 16 men to the plate in the 1st and another 15 in the 2nd, as they jumped out to a 20-1 advantage after the first two frames and cruised to a 29-6 beatdown against 2nd place The Hive (8-7). Coors Light continued to dominate B division foes; improving to 9-1 on the season.
The offense, now averaging over 20 runs/game and 23 hits/game, was once again firing on all cylinders. Four Coors Light hitters were perfect on the night, including Smokey Wiener who continued his breakout season at the age of 40 (and, improbably, is now tied for the team lead with an astounding .750 OBP).

Perkins (6-1) coasted to another easy win on the hill, as management shut him down after only 3 IP. Nichols (Hold #1) and Buff Robillard (Save #1) were summoned from the bullpen to close out the night.
Coors Light compiled their third straight quality hang; winning the parking lot wars, as the clock approached Thurs AM.
Once again without their captain, Coors Light (A) faces A division opponent Lincoln on Friday @7:45 (where, post game, drinking will commence for Voci's 40th celebration the following day). |
