Faced with the prospect of playing with only eight, Coors Light management worked the phones for about an hour pregame and was finally able to obtain a full roster only seconds before first pitch (which thankfully wound up being 45 minutes late).
The addition of Nate Horsman and the Conlon brothers propelled Coors Light to an easy 22-7 5 inning victory over Bogarts. The win improved Coors Light to 11-7 (10-1 against B teams), as they held on to a narrow one game (first place) lead over The Hive.
The offense was on fire and managed 25 hits over four plus innings (including 8 base on balls) for a .781 AVG on the night.

Perkins improved to 7-1 on the season, as he continued to dominate B division opponents. Captain Voci (3-5, SV), normally relegated to facing A division teams, picked up the team’s 3rd save on season.
Few attended post game festivities, which, let’s just say were taken up a notch (as Coors Light’s acting team physician, in an attempt to ease the pain of a hamstring injury of a fellow teammate, explored/smoked a series of medicinal options as the two searched for a remedy).
Coors Light (A) faces Moe’s Tavern (5-12) Monday @6:45, as the team looks to build another winning streak heading into the playoffs. |
